Hello, this is my first blog, I am not sure what to write about so I thought I would do a blog on the importance of  food and education. In Canada and the United States, many children suffer from obesity. Obesity derives from eating food that is unhealthy. A great number of North American children today consume unhealthy food from fast food restaurants. It has been proven that healthier foods allow children to learn better in the classroom setting.

  1. Samara, I think talking about food and education will make for some very interesting reading and I look forward to seeing what you have to discuss. One day I'd love to have a community garden project with my students and have have get togethers to cook what we grow.

  2. This is a crucial perspective about learning that is often ignored. There was a good article in the Globe and Mail over the weekend about nutrition and the onset of dementia
